  • IS EXPECTANTSEE EASY TO USE?
ExpectantSee is completely automatic. Just follow the download and installation instructions onscreen and the screensaver will install. You will be prompted to enter your due date.

WHAT DO I GET IN EXPECTANTSEE?
You get a screensaver that shows, on your idle computer, an image of a baby-to-be at the same stage of pregnancy as you! You can visualize your baby every day.

    HOW LONG DOES EXPECTANTSEE LAST?
When ExpectantSee is downloaded into your computer, it will remain in your Screensaver Control Panel. On your due date, ExpectantSee will give you several choices for what to do next. If you don't want to use ExpectantSee at any time, the easiest thing to do is just select a different screensaver.

    HOW DOES THE CALENDAR WORK?
The calendar runs automatically. You can mouse-click the calendar to go to any day of your pregnancy. Click on today’s date to read more information.

CAN I USE EXPECTANTSEE FOR MORE THAN ONE PREGNANCY?
ExpectantSee works with your computer’s clock to allow you to enter any valid due date. Later, if you get pregnant again, you can use it another time.

CAN I DOWNLOAD THE MAC OS VERSION?
Currently, you must buy the CD-ROM you want to run ExpectantSee on your Macintosh. The download is Windows only. The CD-ROM is available at Amazon.com. Just type “ExpectantSee” in the search at Amazon.com.

    PLEASE GIVE ME DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS!
    - Visit www.motif1productions.com/ExpectantSee.exe
In this address, there must be a capital "E" and "S" in the word
    ExpectantSee.

    - You will see a small window, not a full web page. Follow the directions
onscreen. The software will download BEFORE it asks for the Activation Code.
But the screensaver will only work after you enter the Activation Code. The
Activation Code is sometimes also called Purchase Reference Number.

    - Select RUN when asked "Do you want to run or save this file?" Do not select
SAVE, that is not automatic and many people get confused if they select "SAVE."
To make the installation easy and automatic, select "RUN."

    - You will be prompted to either BUY or ENTER your Purchase Reference Number
(Activation Code). Enter your Purchase Reference Number (Activation Code) here.
(If you didn’t have a Purchase Reference Number, you would select BUY.)

    - The screensaver will activate automatically. It will install in the
Screensaver Control Panel. To find ExpectantSee any time on your Windows
computer, select START (the green button on your lower left). Then select
CONTROL PANEL. Then select DISPLAY. In the DISPLAY screen, select the tab that
reads, “SCREEN SAVER.” ExpectantSee should appear in the window on the
    image of the PC.

    - If you have any problems or questions with the download, please visit
http://www.softwrap.com/feedback.aspx or email support@softwrap.com. If you
have problems of questions with your billing, please contact the site where you
    purchased ExpectantSee.

I HAVE DOWNLOADED EXPECTANTSEE, I CAN’T ACCESS IT!
Please email support@softwrap.com. Softwrap is the company that handles the sales and downloads. If you have downloaded but can't install, Softwrap is the place to go for help.

    WHERE DOES THE DOWNLOAD HAPPEN?
The download takes place online. Visit www.motif1productions.com/ExpectantSee.exe and follow the prompts onscreen. We suggest you select RUN and not SAVE to install the program faster.

    WHEN DOES THE DOWNLOAD HAPPEN?
The download can happen any time. There is no deadline. Visit www.motif1productions.com/ExpectantSee.exe and enter the Purchase Reference Number that you receive with your purchase. If you don’t have a Purchase Reference Number also called Activation Number, you can buy one on the spot at www.motif1productions.com/ExpectantSee.exe.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE DOWNLOAD DOESN'T WORK?
Once you get your Purchase Reference Number, you can try to download the screensaver again. Just skip past the screen that asks for a credit card number. The next screen will ask for your Pruchase Reference Number. Use the whole number (including dashes). You can try the download as many times as needed into the same computer. Always choose RUN instead of SAVE. It is much easier that way.

A company called Softwrap handles the downloads. If your software download is unsuccessful, a page will appear telling you to contact support@softwrap.com. The Softwrap helpdesk is located in the UK and is open Monday through Friday 9am to 3 am GMT.

I CAN'T GET TO THE WEB SITE WHERE I DOWNLOAD!
You can perform the download at the address www.motif1productions.com/ExpectantSee.exe. One problem some people encounter is that they enter that address but they do not type in the CAPITAL “E” and “S” in the word “ExpectantSee” in the web address. If those letters are lower case, the address doesn’t work. REMEMBER to enter your REGISTRATION NUMBER (Purchase Reference Number) as if you are re-registering the product. Use the whole registration number, before and after the dash.

DOES THE DOWNLOAD HAPPEN ON A WEB PAGE?
The software is downloaded from www.motif1productions.com/ExpectantSee.exe. The page you see is smaller than a regular web page. Choose to RUN the software. Follow the prompts in the window and enter your Purchase Reference Number if you have already paid for ExpectantSee. If not, you can pay for it on the spot.

WHICH CURRENCIES CAN I USE TO BUY EXPECTANTSEE?
You can use US dollars, Euros, or British Pounds.

WHICH FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express credit AND debit cards. We also accept PayPal.

I WANT TO PUT EXPECTANTSEE ON MY OTHER (OR MY HUSBAND’S, ETC.) COMPUTER, TOO…CAN I DO THAT?
The download wrapper only allows one purchase to work on ONE computer. The software’s wrapper identifies each computer. If you want to put ExpectantSee on a different computer, you’ll have to make a second purchase.

HOW CAN I TURN ON THE SCREENSAVER WITHOUT WAITING FOR THE SCREEN TO IDLE?
ExpectantSee is a screensaver, so it's designed to run automatically when your computer has been idle for a certain number of minutes. You can specify when you'd like the screensaver to start in your Control Panel. If you don't want to wait, follow these steps:
    1. Select Start in the lower left corner of your desktop.
    2. Select Control Panel.
    3. Select “Display” or (some computers show this as “Appearances and Themes”).
    4. Select Choose a Screensaver.
    5. The Display Properties window should appear. Select the Screensaver tab.
    6. Be sure the word ExpectantSee shows in the drop-down menu. If not, click the arrow and a list of other screensavers will appear. Select ExpectantSee.
    7. Select Preview and the screensaver will start on demand.

MY SCREENSAVER STOPPED WORKING. WHERE DID IT GO? THE SCREEN IS WHITE OR BLACK OF GRAY.
A blank screen indicates an issue with the Macromedia Flash Player in your PC. (ExpectantSee depends on Flash to run correctly.) To solve this problem, visit the Macromedia web site and download the latest free Flash Player. http://www.macromedia.com/downloads This download is FREE and fast. Then restart your computer. You may have to re-install ExpectantSee but it will be working again in minutes.

HOW DO I SEE MORE TEXT?
Use your mouse to click on today's date in the calendar. Every time you click, a line of text that's appropriate for your due date will randomly appear

EXPECTANTSEE SAYS I'M AT A CERTAIN WEEK... BUT MY OTHER CALCULATIONS PLACE THE PREGNANCY AT A DIFFERENT WEEK. WHAT'S UP?
We have had a report that the dates in ExpectantSee don't match up with the dates the customer has calculated. We are not sure why this can be happening, but they shouldn't be off by more than a week for you. A couple of things to keep in mind: Some pregnancies are calculated from date of conception, while others like to use the first date of their last period to calculate their pregnancy length. Also: the dates in ExpectantSee all change at midnight GMT, so depending on your time zone, the screensaver may switch to the next date before midnight.

I CAN’T GET IT TO LET ME CHOOSE MY DUE DATE, I ONLY GET DATES SUCH AS 1904-5 OR 2003-4, WHY?
ExpectantSee runs using your computer’s internal clock. Check to see what date your computer is set for. Your computer may be set to the wrong year. ExpectantSee looks at your computer’s clock and allows you to choose any valid due date based on the date your computer is set for.

EXPECTANTSEE'S DATE IS ONE DAY OFF FROM TODAY'S DATE... WHY?
The ExpectantSee software works with your computer's clock, but our developers had to decide when to start and end each 24-hour period. So they decided to have each "day" run from midnight to midnight Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). GMT is the time zone in the London, England area. If you live in a different time zone, the screensaver may be bumping over to "tomorrow" a little early (or late). If you live in the US EST, the day changes around 6PM every night, in PST "tomorrow" comes around 4PM. In Australia, the difference is even bigger. We hope this slight date variation doesn't bother you too much.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE NUMBER OF MINUTES IT TAKES BEFORE THE SCREENSAVER STARTS?
In Windows, go to Control Panel/ Appearances and Themes / Screensavers / Preview for Windows computers. Follow the prompts to change the minutes before start.
In Mac OS X, go to System Preferences / Screen Effects. Choose the number of minutes you'd like from the horizontal bar.

HOW CAN I OPEN THE SCREENSAVER WITHOUT WAITING FOR MY COMPUTER TO BE IDLE?
In Windows, go to Control Panel/ Appearances and Themes / Screensavers / Preview for Windows computers. Select "Preview." ExpectantSee will start.
In Mac OS X, roll your mouse over one of the Hot Corners on your display. ExpectantSee will start. To set your Hot Corners, go to System Preferences / Screen Effects.

CAN I USE EXPECTANTSEE FOR MORE THAN ONE PREGNANCY?
Once you install ExpectantSee, it remains in the Screen Saver area of your Control Panel. You can enter another due date at any time. There is no expiration date and no limit to the number of times it can be used on a single computer. We ask each customer to make a separate purchase for each computer. But each customer can use ExpectantSee repeatedly for numerous pregnancies.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE DUE DATE? HOW DO I CHANGE THE COLOR?
In the ExpectantSee application, look at the bottom left corner of the screen. You will find a circle with a profile of a fetus. Click on that circle. A new window will appear that allows you to set the due date. You can pick the Month, Day and Year from the drop down menu. You can choose "Random" and a different due date will appear each time. This is also where you can change the screen color.

WHAT HAPPENS ON MY DUE DATE?
Here is what happens on your due date. A window appears and allows you to choose from two things. You can put in another due date (say, the baby isn't born yet... you can change the due date to the date your doctor says she'll induce you, or whatever). Or, if you don't put in a new due date, the screensaver will go into "random" mode which shows a different baby at a different stage each time it comes on. Of course, you can always go into your screensaver control panel and just switch to a different screensaver after your pregnancy is over!

WHY DOES THE DATE CHANGE AT 5 PM (8 PM or 11 PM, ETC)?
The daily clock is set to the Greenwich Mean Time time zone. If you are in a different time zone, the date may change for you at a time other than midnight. We had to choose one time zone for our clock, so we went with the world’s standard GMT.

CAN I USE EXPECTANTSEE IF I GET PREGNANT AGAIN?
If you get pregnant again, even in the year 2010 or 2025, you can use ExpectantSee. The system works with your computer's clock to allow you to choose any due date within 10 months of the current date. (That's why, in 2005, you can only choose 2005 or 2006. Next year, you will be able to choose 2006 or 2007, etc.)

WHERE, IN MY COMPUTER, IS THE EXPECTANTSEE PROGRAM?
ExpectantSee works like an application...but your computer thinks it's a screensaver. It is NOT located in a Programs folder, but in your Control Panel. For Windows computers, screensavers must be managed from the Control Panel section of your operating system.

HOW DO I TURN ON EXPECTANTSEE WHEN I WANT, WITHOUT WAITING FOR THE SCREENSAVER TO "TIME ON"?
Go to Control Panel/ Appearances and Themes / Screensavers / Preview for Windows computers. Select "Preview." ExpectantSee will start.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE NUMBER OF MINUTES IT TAKES FOR EXPECTANTSEE TO START?
Go to Control Panel/ Appearances and Themes / Screensavers / Preview. Enter a number in the dialog box at the phrase: "Wait: _____ minutes."

HOW DO I PASSWORD-PROTECT MY COMPUTER?
Go to Control Panel/ Appearances and Themes / Screensavers / Preview. Check the box next to the phrase, "On resume, password protect."

HOW DO I SAVE ENERGY BY PUTTING MY COMPUTER TO "SLEEP"?
Go to Control Panel/ Appearances and Themes / Screensavers / Preview. Look for the Energy Star logo and follow the dialog box.
