Second Month of Pregnancy
What's happening with your baby?
This
is also a busy month. This month the organs have already started to
form. The facial structures are forming and so are the fingers and
toes. It is during this month that the baby begins to move (of coures
you can't feel this just yet) Believe it or not, the heart actually
begins to beat, very faintly, but how amazing is that?
The babies sex organs are beginning to form this month also. All this
is happening and your baby will only be a little over an inch by the
end of this month.
What's happening with Mama?
Most
women are just now finding out they're pregnant. Unfortunatly, this is
also the time when some women begin to have morning sickeness. Morning
sickness is caused by the hormone levels rising.
What should you be doing this month?
Like I said above, most women don't even
know they're pregnant yet. That is why it is so important to act
pregnant until you know for sure. By saying "act pregnant" I mean, stay
away from unnecessary drugs, smoking, anything you wouldn't do if you
were pregnant. Make sure throughout your whole pregnancy to drink lots
of water. Drinking water is not only important for your baby, it also
helps with constipation which is a common symptom early in
pregnancy. Keep active but if you feel tired, get the rest you need, as
fatigue is also an early symptom of pregnancy. Don't feel guilty about
napping or resting if you need to, you're body is going through a lot
of changes. Lastly, congratulations and this is going to be a
wonderful ride!
